2-Year-Old Playbook and Curriculum

The 2-year-old year in particular is a wonderful year to begin structured big-body play that requires single-step directions, auditory practice, and gross motor development.  It is during this year that many children learn to jump, begin to run like a child rather than a toddler, acquire more upper body strength, and start to learn their bodies can be tools for them to use intentionally.  They revel in the exploration of these options and the more opportunity they have to use their bodies, the more confidence they will gain in what their bodies can do in and out of the classroom.

The curriculum: Our curriculum has been vetted by hundreds of preschoolers for almost 25 years.  It is easy to implement and is known to elicit squeals of delight and sweaty, happy, out-of-breath children.

The professional development: Our professional development is designed to empower you with the brain science and logic behind moving for improved learning and behavior.  The professional development in the 2-Year-Old package has been delivered at numerous conferences including NAEYC’s national conference, NAEYC’s Learning Lab, NAEYC’s Professional Learning Institute, the International Play Association Conference, the U.S. Play Coalition Conference and countless state and regional early childhood conferences like SECA, VAAEYC, MIAEYC, LAECE, SCECA, and more.

• Access to new and exciting lesson plans that have been pulled from our vault of best-ever 2-year-old games.  All tested on 2-year-olds and given the double thumbs up (or squeals of delight for those 2’s who haven’t mastered thumbs up yet!)

  • a Pivot to Play® Certified badge to use on your email signature line and other correspondence as a Pivot to Play® Certified Classroom
  • signage to go in your classroom or on your door to signify that you have joined the tribe fighting for more moving for improved learning and behavior as a Pivot to Play® Certified Classroom

Terms of Subscription

• You will be purchasing a license to use the curriculum.  As the only authorized user of the curriculum, you can download one copy of each curriculum and download package.  You will have access the entire subscription for 45 days after the last payment has been made.
• New content will be loaded into your account every 30 days for the 6 month period.  A good signal that new content is available is the charge to your credit card, a confirmation of which will be sent via email.
• Should you need to cancel your subscription, you must do so by logging into your account.  We cannot cancel your subscription for you.
• We do not offer a trial period or refunds, but you are welcome to access our free content to get a taste for our professional development and lesson plans.  See the Pivot to Play® Shop for more information.
• Please keep in mind that this content has been labored over for more than two decades and our team is very proud of our hard work.  Sharing this to those who have not paid for it diminishes the value of that hard work.
